fuel pipe

I know a lot of you have heard this before, but when i put fuel in the tank it keeps cutting off if you squeeze the trigger two much. this is a right pain in the arse take me ages to put 20 quids worth. in now i have heard people say pull the nozzle out a bit, or turn it so the handle is facing the rear of the car.i have tried these without success. I have put a meter long wire down the breather to see if it is blocked i have also shone a torch down the filler to see if the flap move moves OK which it seems to so now i am lost for any other solution unless someone on here has got an idea i could try
