Hi guys..

since buying my D2 TD5 auto 5 weeks ago it has started to have starting issues which i'm trying to sort and looking for some advice..
First it does have the dreaded oil to the ECU problem and I am fitting a new Injector loom and rocker cover gasket this weekend... I don't think this will solve it as i think its a fueling problem but it needs doing..

what makes me think its a fueling problem is the fuel pump starts to whine when you turn the key to position 2, normal I hear you say... yes but it continues to whine... does not stop after 20 secs as it should once pressure is reached.. once running its smooth as anything and no loss of power or rough running.. A bit of research has come up with a common fault of the air bleed valve in the fuel filter housing going.. one guy put a video on youtube explaining this.. and explains the airbleed valve not allowing air to be sent back to the tank so it stays in the system affecting fuel pressure until the engine is running and the air is forced out hence poor start but smooth running..

problem is all literature i find has 3 different valves and all called the same.. one looks like a reed style valve in pink rubber.. one is a white plastic none return valve and the other is a small black plastic incert.. all fit to the inlet and outlet fittings of the housing.. but which do i change..?

this kit on fleebay seems to have the answer but is in Oz and will take forever to get here.. if this is what i need is there anywhere else i can get it

air bleed valve fits in outer rear connector google wjn500110,you might want to pull pump from tank remove the swirl pot it has 3 clips and check pump screens are clear, also injector washers and o rings replacement,i often have this issue and do the 3
