Had a bit of a blip earlier and sheared off a bleed screw on my CAV pump  - found this site:

Air Screw for DPA Pumps from SSL diesel Parts replacing

Is it the small I need? looks and reads like it should be, I just need an oracle's advice. Oh and copper washer size?

Also The banjo on the filter top looks home made and the washers look well oversized to seal properly - maybe my leaking air problem? Might be able to make out the pound coin size washers in the photo:

Question again for an oracle - New banjo but what size do I need and what size washers would be best to go either side, again web site possibly to use:

Banjo Single Tail from SSL diesel Parts Banjo fittings fuel

Can you tell i'm s**t at all this but willing to give it all a go!

Cheers
Nick

Thats an early diesel engine, well at least the head is!
As for the washers i dont reckon any they list will fit as the bleed nipples are weeny and they say small or large unf thread in the write up so you will probably have to ask them, prices seem good though.
That clear pipe will end up going hard and leaking.
The air leak is probably from the filter top and bottom seals, best to take the whole head off for a proper look see.
Another good place for an air leak is the lift pump glass bowl top seal assuming it has one as later engines didnt.

Clear tube temporary to see where the air was coming from - sti;ll not quite sure but thinking I was getting there when i ripped the bleed screw off.

Tried emailing about bleed screw sizes but still no answer - if wasn't so busy at work i'd try ringing them, poor excuse but true!

might just order for the £1.50 cost, just need to sort out the banjo size though - could just measure but lacking anything accurate - amateur series owner with amateur tools!
