Had a 200 mile drive on Friday, 190 miles in and nearly home a UJ gave up which put a few dents in the floor and prop caught rear brake line and snapped it! Could have been worse I guess.
I have now removed the propshaft, see photos of the damaged bits.

I have a 1990 110, which has had a 200tdi retro fitted. I will be ordering a new prop however, I was told by previous owner that he had a discovery transfer box fitted for one reason or another. What I am struggling to work out is if this means I need a different prop to normal.

My VIN is FAxxxxxx which means in theory I need FRC8390, however I have a feeling I may need a different prop due to the disco tbox? Anyone know for sure?

thanks guys

thank you.

On 2nd leg of this drive noticed some vibrations in 5th but prior to this nothing out of the ordinary. I have only had it since January and is my first landy so there are probably some noises I considered to be 'normal' but in hindsight may actually be worn UJ symptoms. Guess I learnt the hard way!
Going to sort out the rear prop UJs while I am at it.

Just happened to me! Lots of squealing and various other noises that I thought was due to a siezed alternator bearing but getting underneath the vechicle Saturday afternoon I found one of the yokes virtually hanging off. Limped into the workshop this morning and currently replacing. Could kick myself though as I went to grease all the UJ's a month or so ago and foudn the gun we had at work had the wrong fitting so left it........
