It started with occasionally the indicator would not flash, but a tap on the side repeater would fix it. Then the side light would come on instead of the indicator.
Have taken most of the connections off and cleaned them, and now the loom and lights are apart. But if I test the loom I get practically nothing showing on either the sidelight or indicator circuits. Do I need the weather cable attached to the wing in order for it to work? (I'd normally have said yes, but there seems to be a positive and negative to each bulb that doesn't seem to be the same as the earth cable.... but as I write this, that seems all wrong.. But I did earth it via a jump lead back to the battery -ve and still nothing showing on the voltmeter.
What's the logical way to resolve it?
