Hi, I'm having a problem with my dads freelander, he got in it yesterday all the doors locked and the alarm started.
He can't unlock any doors or open any electric windows. Luckily his back windows are windy but for a 67 year old it took some climbing out with the horn blasting.

Have tried everything to get it open, used the emergency access code, changed the key fob battery and nothing works.

Any help or suggestions would be greatfully received as the windows are open and it's ****ing hard :)

Thanks James

With electrics on, put yer key in ignition and turn it to position 2. Doors will unlock unless something's broke'd. They do this just in case yer fob lock (superlock) yerself inside and can't get out.

Disconnected the battery for a couple of hours, still nothing.
They key doesn't seem to move anything when it turns towards unlock if that makes sense just seems to turn freely
Checked the fuses but not the relays. Even disconnected ecu.

I'm stumped.

Looks as if the door lock barrel isn't working properly hence why the EKA can't be entered.

Unfortunately without being able to enter the EKA then you won't be able to program a new fob as you won't have Comms when the alarm is armed.
