I am new to forums and also first time freelander owner. I have inherited a 2002 Freelander V6 2.5 gs auto from my sister who has gone abroad, with what looks to be a full land rover service history.
It has around 74k mileage and looks from paperwork that it has had a full front and 2 rear cam belt change at 52k.
I know it also reccomends a change at 72k service but my question is if it was changed at 52k is that something that needs doing now, or should I wait to have it MOT'd in Feb next year and ask them to have a look at the belts to see if they need changing.
With all the horror stories I have read about this model and it's horrendous thirst I am starting to worry I have inherited a right load of mither even though it was free
