Freelander TD4 2001 (Y) - BMW Engine or not?

Hi All

Need some urgent help. Im sellling a Freelander TD4 2001 (Y) car on ebay with just a couple of hours remaining on the auction. I have just been asked wether the engine is a BMW one or not. I've had a look under the bonet but can't see anything to indicate a BMW engine!

How do i tell whether its BMW or not?

I believe the TD4 is the BMW engine,

both are 2.0L capacity with a turbo.

Yeah Chris, the TD4 is a product of BM's tenure at Landrover..

Lift up bonnet if on the rh/side ya got a plastic L shape thingy behind the battery its a td4 if not its the l series , mind you it could also be a 1.8 as they have the L thingy too [snort]. . . .

If yours looks the same it is the BMW M47 engine for sure.
