Hello everyone, I'm just after picking some of your brains to se if anyone can confirm the problem for me, so i was driving to visit family and after about 150 miles we stopped the car for a break , no real signs of anything major at this point just a tad turbo lag. When I set off again there was a lot and I mean a hell of a lot of black smoke came out my exhaust in first and second but went away wen I hit 3rd gear, got about 3 miles up the a1 there was a loud hiss and a rattling and the smoke returned I lost all power. Pulled over and the engine sounded Ropey to say the least. So I cut the engine checked the intercooler pipes and there was no splits. So called out the RAC . When he turned up he checked the intercooler pipes as I had and he also checked the oil. Was nothing registering on the dipstick at all( I did check before I set off) after we put 2l of oil in still nothing not good. He said it's the turbo has gone checked the intercooler pipes and oil was present . Has anyone else had something similar as it's at the garage now and I don't exactly trust them to not rip me off. Many thanks
