Hi all I'm kass! New to all this.
Where to start, I have a starter motor problem! Replaced all the parts inside and gave it a good ol' clean buuuttttt, still clicking like mad at me!
Can anyone out there help me as I don't want to fall out with her??
Many thanks.

You need a perfect earth to allow such a high current draw, as a starter motor requires.

Check the main battery/body to engine earth strap.

Can also be caused by a dodgy starter solenoid or the motor brushes not making good contact with the armature.

Hi thanks for quick reply!
I had the battery tested and it read fine, I moved the earth from battery to a better contact. Is it still possible for the battery to be knackerd?? When I turn the key it seems as thought all power goes?

clicking battery normally means flat or had it the clicking is the starter trying to go but not enough power for it to actually work

thats from previous faulty batteries

try jump leads and another car and see what happens

I've tried jumping it mate, all it does is the same thing with the occasional squeak? Also makes the vans lights flicker when jumping. Cheers.

sticking solinoid. I replaced my starter 5 years ago - £130 DIY, not worth messing with parts by time you got it on and off (esp on an auto cos its a pain to get bolts).

still perfect today.

This still sounds like a bad earth to me. When you moved the battery earth point did you rub down to bare metal or just bolt it to the metal with paint on it. ???
