Yes that unspoken law of fix something and thou will have something else break has struck me again!
All of a sudden the warm air isn't blowing in very warm at all compared to what it used to do.
Blowers all work on 1234 . And to top that off the passenger heated seat isn't getting warm???
It will get bloody warm soon enough with a box of matches at this rate lol. Is it the themostat more thank likely to be the culprit? Thanks for any info

Oh, and yes, that must be an expression of Murphy's Law that dictates that if something is fixed, something else will inevitably fail...

I believe that's a variant of Fingle's law = 'The desirability of any repair being successful is inversely proportional to the probability of something else failing.':D
Yes, I agree. Always leave something broken in order to achieve trouble free motoring.

There's also Sod's Law which is along the lines as above. ^^^^

Argh Sod it North English Expression from the Cotton Mills workers in the doing the looms when a thread goes missing and Ah So the chinese version.
Not forgetting the the immortal words Captain Limpwrist IX at the Battle of the Wrong Foot in France, were he threw his grenade at the enemy and sadly only flung the pin shouted Ah Bug**r!

I've always wondered how my Freelander can be so reliable - I now know!

I fix the bits that "need" fixing, and hopefully fix them thoroughly/well - but that door which often doesn't open from the outside, the clock that doesn't display 80% of the digits, the cigar lighter that doesn't work, the illumination not working on the heater controls or the odometer, the body mouldings that are broken and probably a load of other things I've forgotten about - well they've been like that since I got it 8 years ago and must be what's making it so reliable :)

Edit : I forgot the on-topic 1, and the 1 that may some day end up being my downfall - the fact that when ever I check the expansion bottle - its empty. I tend to check it so often these days because its always the same amount of fluid that I need to top it up (just the bottle) and there's never any air comes out of the bleed screw.

I seem to have very restricted power at the moment also, foot down and it just sluggishly goes upto a couple of thousand revs area,.
I have just refitted a recon vcu, (which has been soooooo awesome in the snow) unless ive done something amiss but doubt it?!
Yes I honestly wil be leaving one thing broken to balance to laws of land rover reliability lol
