Hi all,

Thought I would introduce myself. We have just bought a freelander 2004 hse mainly as a second car for my wife but to get me out of trouble in the snow so I can still get to work through the winter months. It has cream leather which she really hates as it is slightly beige (old manish!) So I will have to give that a good deep clean at some stage. It is dark blue and at the minute does not have running boards or a tow bar which is something I want arranging.

Looks a good site and look forward to sharing my experiences.

P.S I did want a disco but the wife said it was too big for her (not so often I hear her say that).

I'd forget the running board mate as the vehicle isn't high enough to need them and you will just get dirty ankles as you wipe against it getting out.

Ah I see. I was mainly thinking of when I need to put things on the roof rails, or is that not needed?

depends if your a short arse like me then yes you need running boards cos I cant reach the roof rails and I use them all the time

Im just under 6ft.....So I guess if I were to get them it would be for asthetic value more than anything. Ive also found out all but 1 of the speakers have seized! Took all the door cards off today (they needed a deep clean) and the connectors for the speakers were full of moisture and the cones had no movement in them...I wondered why the speakers sounded awful! Never mind...Think we will be upgrading the speakers.
