Not boring matey :) just After a while the same old q's keep getting asked.

That dunt stop you from wantin an answer though.:)

I'm afraid the advice given is very pertinent , do a search for the " 3 amigos " and then sit back and enjoy a long read , you will have to do what we all had to and familiarise yourself with the reasons that can cause failure because there are many.
I've just been through it and you'll need to apply a bit of logic to getting to the bottom of it.
Reasons range from the simple and relatively cheap to the not so simple and a bit less than cheap !
My advice is to get the codes read on the car and then take it from there .
For the record mine was the ABS pump .
Good luck.

and for the record mine was the g sensor that is next to the handbrake under the centre consol we did put new hand brake cables on and doing so we unscrewed the centre consol and pushed it forward to get at the adjusters on the cables and unknown to us when we pulled the consol back we pulled of the cables to this unit I ended up paying for the test on it and as soon as the man said what it was I knew it was somthing we had done pluged the wire back on (you can see it by taking the cd trat out of the middle 4 screws) and all was well but the man did say the are trublesome units and people just think it is the brake switch hope this helps
