hi
not sure weather if this if the right place to post this
my freelander 1 ( 5door) sunroof is f****d due to rust and wont close does any one know if you can fit a no electric one from a 3door freelander or is there a non electric one made for the 5 dor verson

No, the 3dr has 2 separate pieces of glass or metal on the commercial version. People are happy to help on here but introduce yourself 1st.

Where is this rust that ****ing your sunroof?

Have you tested the motor? If so then its your sunroof rails and they are available each side seperately.
 
pull down the interior light and you will see the sunroof motor.
there is a plastic fitting in the middle, put a flatblade screwdriver and turn, this should wind down the roof.

the rust has eaten the lip holding the seal round the edge and it wont lower fully into the roof , motor is fine , i was half hopiing to try and fit a non electric one but cant seam to find any tho i have seen a freelander with one fitted
 
When you manually turn the motor screw slot, you have to push the screw driver into the slot to release the gear so you can turn it.
