Freelander 1 facelift (53 plate) sterio IPod connection?

Hi guys
Can anyone help me please! I have a 53 plate freelander and I'm trying to connect an iPod to the factory fitted 6 disc/radio sterio. Is there a way of connecting it with wires (not a Parrot or radio signal).
