freelander 1.8 petrol Amber engine malfunction warning light

Hi, I have just had my cylinder head gasket and associated parts renewed after a gasket failure (Olympic waranties are not worth the paper the are written on) on the way home from the garage the engine mafunction light came on and has stayed on, the car is running well and the light is not flashing, does anyone have any idea what this could be? I will be taking it back to the garage but don't want them to fob me off with excuses.
