hi guys i just bought a freelander 1.8 3 door on the cheap, but i had a few problems, where do i start lol:
i have replaced the clutch
i need half of the propshaft (missing)
central locking does not work
rear window does not work (goes up when you put the key in the back door)
the back door will not open
and the rcl fob has decoded

can anyone help me with some of the elec probs as iv bitten off more than i can chew :(

hi redhand, the freelanders commonly have the propshaft removed, as the big bit in the middle seizes up and ****s your rear tyres, then your diff and if yopu are unlucky it will total ur transfer box, but this is all fine on mine, but it has been taken off as they drive easier without it and do more mpg

I know why gaylanders have the rear prop removed I wasn't sure if you did??

When ya say it was cheap i hope you meant really really cheap?? especially if it's the K series engine in it.

:pop2:

Do a search for Darmain's threads re. door locking problems.
Search for rear window, window mechanisms and rear door not unlocking.
Results should answer most/all of your questions and give you a good starting point.
Could be why it was cheap?
All are fixable with just the parts if you are handy with the spanners and know a bit about the electrickery, there's an awful lot of electrickery in the FL !!
Have you got yerself a copy of RAVE yet - you're gonna' need one :)
Check out todays threads , I think there were at least two links to the free download site.
Merry Christmas and :welcome2:
