freelander 03 clutch fail

hi guys

lost clutch today but don't weather its clutch or master/slave cylinder gone ? can you tell me how i find out ?

the pedal lost pressure and i think ? i don't know if its just crashing the gear box ? if i lift the pedal with my foot and push back down i get a bit of pressure to change gear but not from stationery ? have to start on ignition in 1st. also i can hear air when i work the clutch pedal and i can see a bit of movement from the clutch slave but only about 10-15mm? so pedal wont return and slight pressure when i lift pedal with foot and re apply ?

took the master and slave cylinder off .... looks prety simple , wondering if poss to repair ? how would you go about bleeding it? cant be that hard ........can it??

Its a sealed unit on the 1.8k

If its drawing air in , its screwed.

Also check the bracket on the gearbox for damage.

check the release arm on the gearbox, should be able to move it by hand back and forth easily. Else it may be seized.
