Freelancer bull bar prep

My bull bar has paint flaking off and I planned to get it blasted and painted. The guy that blasts said he can not do it as it has some kind of plastic coated paint that is hard to blast. He recommended grinding or burning it of. Any thoughts ?

you can get them recoated and yes burn it off thats how they do it , and it will not cost a lot to have it recoated
