Free Lander rear window guard

Hi,

I have come across a rear window guard for my 04 Freelander but it did not come with the fitting kit. Does anyone have any clue if anything can be done with it or is it scrap metal?

it is hard to do without the fitting kit, as the kit has some square tubes which bolt to the tailgate, then the guard slots into them. However, you could fettle it in and bolt direct to the tailgate, would just mean you couldn't remove it as easily as if you'd used the kit.

I have the original fitting instructions if they are of any help

Thank you very much for the reply. I have thought of trying to bolt straight on but then it would be difficult to clean the inside of the window.
