So upon trying to find out why my hand brake light doesn’t come on the dash I found the cable is plugged onto the handbrake lever but other end that goes under the drivers seat isn’t connected to anything it just has a black connector on the end. So that’s point 1.
Point 2 I found another green wire with spade connector attached with a black heat shrink over it any ideas what this is?
There is a spare spade connection on the circle thing under the drivers seat - what’s this for?? Should I plug the green wire onto there?

Thanks mate.
So the green wire is possibly the old reverse light wire as the last owner had a new reverse light fitted above the door and this was rewired.
My fuel gauge/Oil is working fine on the dash - so the sender unit has connections on the 2nd and 3rd spade connection but not the first? So should I stick the black earth onto here?
So looks like Im missing the connection between the dash and the hand brake wire then??

Your photo shows two wires (both black?) attached to the sender. If your gauge works don't attach anything else. The spare terminal might be for the low fuel warning light.
It sounds like you are missing the wire from the dash light to the hand brake.

Sorry yes so the sender is fine, all gauges working fine.
Looks like I have that black wire with a black bullet connector spare and a missing hand brake cable to the dash :/

Should I try connecting it to the handbrake lead?
In a word - No. Don't guess, test. That what I was always taught. Test the wire, if you don't have a multimeter a bulb and two pieces of wire will check if its live or not. To me it looks like and earth. Trace it back, see where it attaches. The handbrake wire should be white/yellow trace.
