Ok now had the chance to have a look underneath it appears to be loose where the long linkage/rod joins to the arm that goes into the gearbox looks like there is a rubber bush is there an up rated alternative for this and does anyone know the size of the pin ( I think that's what it is) that holds the two parts of the linkage together thanks

I've tried to get that pin out, sweated, bled and sweared;
gave up on trying to fix the wobbly stick

Is the pin supposed to knock out from the top..........might need a bit of heat

It's nylon and it wears were it touches the metal part of the selector in a half moon shape eventually giving a sloppy stick!

The roll pin is a joke! I had a tough time removing it with the gear box out and in the end replaced it with a nut and bolt. It knocks put from the chassis leg side if I recall, downwards if you will.

I would say that the nylon bit will be a few quid from LR but I just put mine back in the other way up which seems to have done the trick

Also found it to be loose where the gear stick is attached to the linkage ...pulled away the 2 rubber gaiters from inside the car took the bolt out put on two washers and put the bolt back in its made a massive difference
