Hypothetically, if one had removed the engine from a DSE, does it make sense to change the flex plate as a preventative measure, given they aren't terribly expensive?

Also, I'm actually struggling to find the flex plate listed for a diesel P38 - I assume it's not the same as the V8s?
 
Cheers for that. Did you have the part number or did you actually navigate to it on Rimmer's website, because I'm buggered if I can find which category it comes under!

Microcat. Gives part number as STC2309 but is superseded by the one shown. Just put that part number into Rimmers site. Engine parts maybe a good place to look, but Rimmers site is a fractured trying to find bits a lot easier with Microcat.
