I'm just in the process of nailing a Southdown snorkel onto the 90.

The destructions that I got from the internet say to position the wing moulding 120mm in front of the bulkhead, mark hole and cut etc but that is dead above the heater motor so won't work.

Could anyone confirm whether the steel pipe should be further back and fit down between the blower and the bulkhead, or further forward and enter the wing in front of the heater?

Cheers :)

That's back-up plan but I'd rather not route pipework the whole way around the engine to mate with the filter which sits between the heater and the screenwash bottle on the passenger side.

More importantly I dont want to obscure vision to the drivers side and have to listen to the 'woosh' noise from the snorkel top...the canvas roof makes enough noise as it is

Out of curiosity, do you have a picture of how far forward you mounted the base of the snorkel from the bulkhead? May consider the driver's side if I can get it tight to the pillar without hitting the windscreen hinge.

Cheers,

Harry

Pics as promised. I don't find it impedes vision at all! Pics of the tubes as well. 20140505_164729.jpg
