Hello All,

Just got a front fog light kit and when I was looking at where everything goes I popped off the blank front fog light switch on the dash and found wiring already attached to it.

However the wiring supplied with the kit also has the same wiring.

Could it be that the wiring is alraedy installed in the vehicle and it is just a case of fitting the fuse in the blank space ?

I know that the second part of the wiring is not fitted in the engine compartment, but that is not hard to fit.

Anyone had any experience of fitting the kit and is the wiring in the passenger compartment already there?

If it is it would save a load of time.

Thanks

I have now fitted the fog light kit and it works a treat.

In answer to my own question, I removed the binacle over the instrument panel and follwed the existing lead so far and then gave up when it disappeared into the main loom.

As there was no lead into the back of the fuse box I used the loom supplied and the whole thing was fiited in about 2 hours, that included cutting the bumper, scary at the time, but it did not mention in the instruction that if you look on the reverse side of the bumper, the holes are pre-marked. I only spotted them when I started to cut out the second hole. Luckily the first hole was near enough spot on, lucky guess I think.

The bumper fog lights really look the dogs dingos and well worth £35 and a couple of hours.

Don't try and fit the landrover fog lights if you have one of those heater thingies behind the bumper on the passenger side of the car because it gets in the way:(

Steve :)
