Fitting an LT77 gearbox into a Series 3 with a 200Tdi engine

Hi, we are just commencing to swap a 200Tdi Discovery engine into a LR109, 1984, ex-mod, 24FFR, 4cyl petrol, LHD. As I am not very familiar how to post a question on a topic, I have to apologize first of all. But: Can anybody tell, whether the 300Tdi (Disco or 110) exhaust manifold fits to a 200Tdi Disco engine? Does the 200 Tdi turbo fit the 300 Tdi manifold? Does the turbo (connected to 300Tdi manifold) clear the inlet-manifold and the chassis-rail? (Background: I would like to keep the inlet-manifold as it is instead of putting the turbo above as the Defender- 200Tdi solution would do (I assume). Furthermore, I found some hints on the topic "PAS", as the Disco engine is fitted with a servo pump. I have no idea, what parts are needed and how it looks in the end. I appreciate any help. Thanks a lot in advance. Heinz (PS: I contemplated to fit Ashcrofts R380 with short-bellhousing, to which I would like to bolt the Series transfer-box. Apart from the additional job, I find no solution for a longer gearing (Ashcroft offers 3.54 Diffs for Rover axles, which is on the front, but the 109 has a Salisbury on the rear).

Hi,
300tdi manifold bolts straight to a 200tdi engine, 200tdi turbo will fit 300tdi manifold (don't forget you will need an EGR blanking kit with 300tdi manifold), 300tdi manifold will clear inlet ok.
Not sure how the exhaust situation is, assuming its all ok as it points straight down. Steve Parker Land rover does an exhaust to fit this situation.
Also you will need 300tdi turbo oil pipes.

All the parts turn up on eBay from time to time quite cheaply (except maybe exhaust)

Good luck, I ended up wimping out and going for the non-turbo option!

ive fitted a 200tdi into my series onto the original box. i have coupled this with rangie (3.5) diffs and 35" tyres. it has plenty of guts on and off road but i don like taking it over 85 because of the high revs. its still pulling strong at this speed so i dont think a 5th gear would be too much. an overdrive or 5th gear would be nice but the gearbox is sounding a bit worse for wear. roughly how much did the 5spd gearbox setup cost?

the way i preferred doing if using 5 speed is lt77 .with lt230 with diff converted to 2wd and 4wd in diff lock with defender tunnel etc
