Hi,can any of you advise me on fitting a boost gauge to my 1996 300TDi as i'm new to tubocharged engines.I can't seem to see where the wastegate is to 't' into the pipework.I have an EGR blanking plate fitted as standard, could i tap into this & run a gauge from there? Many thanks in advance

On that back of the inlet manifold is a bolt, undo it and get a adapter to fit the boost gauge there, that is the best place.

Diesels don't have vaccum so there are special ones for diesels, however a petrol one will do just fine but it will never go into vaccum.

When you mean the EGR plate do you mean the one on the pipe work, if it's the one on the exhaust manifold then that will not work that would show the pressure of the exhaust!

Just fit a tee into the small hose that is clearly visible on the turbo. When you stand at the N/S front wing and look into the engine bay.
