Hello, I'm fitting a 300 tdi engine into my 1990 Range Rover Classic. What I'm struggling with and trying not to sound like thickie is that where the centre of the engine is. Is it the crank bolt? As I have measured between the chassis and marked it and when the crank bolt is in line, I cant fit the engine mount and no room for the engine mount bracket to be welded to the chassis.
Anyone come across this before or any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

I dont hink centre of car will be the crank bol, am most likely wrong but maybe a late classic 300 owner can measure for you?
You can find detailed drawings of the series land rover chassis on line, so I am asusming you can find the same for the RR?
Said drawings had all the measurements on incl mount positions etc, but and theres always a but even if the mounts positions are the same on the chassis thats not to say the engines engine support mounts themselves are the same side to side.
