Hi.
I have a 54 plate freelander sport and my satnav has suddenly stopped working. It has asked for me to load the disk which I have, but it is unable to read it. Any help much appreciated.

Hi, and :welcome2:

If you are sure you have the code to restart the radio/sat-nav then try disconnecting by pulling the fuse, waiting 5 minutes then switch on again.

During the 5 minutes wait you should check that the disc is really clean.

How many satellites is the sat-nav receiving?

How old is your disc? Only one? Not the full set?

This is 1st generation sat-nav technology - state of the art in its day - but that was yesteryear. The new discs cost way over £100 and they only revise them every couple of years.

This machine is now impractical, and dangerous as the map info is now wrong.

The radio/CD changer combo is quite good though. :)

I no longer use mine and have a Garmin Nuvi instead. :D

Caio, Singvogel.
