Sorry if this sounds a bit commercial chaps, It's not really, just a bit of an info update for anyone who might be interested :)
So many have been asking about how progress has been going with our new Faultmatec FCR, especially in respect of how soon it might be able to cover the P38, i thought it might be good for me to post up a link to the new FCR Microsite, such that anyone who wants can read the regularly updated news page for themselves from now on.

For anyone not so clued up, i should explain that we here at Blackbox Solutions, who are so generally well known for our diagnostic equipment have recently been en-devouring to produce a small low cost hand held (mars bar sized) bit of kit called the Faultmate FCR that simply allows for the reading and clearing of all fault codes from all on board systems of Land Rover Vehicles.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Now that the advertising has finished i might also point all you good people to the following website that will be launching there version of the above at possibly 1/3rd of the BBS price.

http://www.rswsolutions.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=20&Itemid=28

check out there website you might find that there also cheaper.

unlike the above poster i dont own the company nor no i personally receive any profit from pointing this out but i dont believe people should use this site for there own profit on a business front

I dont have a problem with commercial peeps on the site, but they need to be helpful, not just here to promote their products.

On other forums that I frequent, there are commercial organisations, but they offer assistance with their products and try and help forum members. Not just advertise. Obviously, if they have a product which resolves a members problem, then they should be able to mention it.

Hmmn, it seems i need to explain myself a bit.
I am actually a very active member and substantial / helpful contributor to quite a number of LR forums. Each forum has very different rules and arrangements concerning commercial postings and in almost all cases, i sponsor or purchase commercial posting privileges, even on sites i have not posted anything warrant able on or that do not even speak my native language.

Frankly as stated on my earlier posts, i would much rather members would ignore what i just happen to do for a living and allow me to just enjoy talking Land Rovers with them and discussing aspects about their technology and helping them out.

But then i recognize that many like to openly ask me questions and request knowledge and clarification about our equipment.
For those thinking that my only involvement with Land Rovers and the degree of my participation on such forums as this, is just to be here to sell diagnostic equipment, here is a few examples of threads i have posted on other forums
DISCO3.CO.UK • View topic - My D3 Spec Upgrade (very long)
DISCO3.CO.UK • View topic - Adaptive Head Lights (AFS) & Corner lights Retrofit
DISCO3.CO.UK • View topic - D4 Wheel with Tiptronic on a D3

But never mind that board, lets take another example. On another general LR board, i am a commercial sponsor, have been for almost a year, but i have made just 10 posts. however for those 10 posts i have been thanked no less than 30 times, such is the level of help and contribution i have made.

To date, my posts on this board have amounted to nothing more or less than announcing who i actually am, helping someone who has a problem registering our equipment in very unusual circumstances and defending myself against a degree of most unfair and unjust criticism. The fact that this has been my only participation on this board thus far is really not my fault. As Rick The Pick notes and i can but humbly confirm, i do actually happen to know more about Land Rover electronic technology than most will ever know, not that i think i am smarter than anyone else, it just happens to be my job too, and i am only too happy to share, discuss and help anyone i possibly can, if i am but only given half a chance to do so.

I have never before started a thread and in this case pre apologized if my posting such information as i did about our FCR, seemed in any way commercially oriented, going on to explain that it was just info for the benefit of anyone who might happen to be interested. I have been most careful not to take the P, look for a free lunch or overly promote or sing up our products. And i credit all members with enough intelligence to sort the wheat from the chaff themselves in this post or any i might make. And i note a few have managed to do that, for which i am most appreciative.

I could / should ask if RSW also posted links to his site for info here?
Does he have commercial posting rights or sponsor this board?
But i don't want to rock the boat or be seen to care, let alone start a war here. My company will carry on doing what it does and has always done regardless of if i participate here or not or take the time and trouble to inform members of this board where we are at with our equipment.

Not withstanding, i am sure that should i ever cross any such line in respect of commercialization, that the the Moderation and Admin of this board would contact me directly and together we would come to some agreeable arrangement.

Now then Grippa, i am really looking for a 2010 wiring loom for any model, pink or otherwise, can you help there :)
