Fairey Overdrive Leak

I have a bit of a leak from my over drive.....surprise surprise.

Seems to be coming from the layshaft O ring at the back of the unit (according to the drawing).

Can the shaft be pulled out slightly to allow changing in place?

Any Fairey specialists that might be able to help out?

It looks like (from the drawing) that the shaft can be pulled out without loosening anything, but.......

make sure shaft is vertical before pulling out to thrust washers brgs etc stay lined up

OK, thanks for that.

So it looks like I have to remove the overdrive to do it, unless I can stand the old girl on her bumper?
