Hi there, I am shortly going to be getting a Freelander TD4 Kalahari and want to carry out a facelift with new lights, bumpers etc. As a new user, are there any old threads on how to do this, how hard it is and potential costs? I am also keen to get the rear passenger windows etc smoked so anyone who has done this and can recommend a process, would be interested to hear. Cheers

there has been a couple of threads on this, including a complete step by step guide, with part numbers, prices, the lot.

The front is reasonably easy, with a tiny little bit of cutting, the back not too bad, but I think involves a little more angle grinder work.

Twas about 3 years ago it was posted, when I get more time, I'll see if I can find it.

Hey don't change the old hippo is a bit of a classic ....... give the bumpers a real good clean and re-oil ..... and spend your money on a synergy 2, egr replacement, crank case vent BMW, K&N Filter ......... yeehar. If you wana face lift sell the Kali and buy one!!!!

Muply was one of the main guys who ran a full thread on this. There was another as well but search Muplys posts or pm him.

Thank you all for the comments. I am having to deal with a few other issues on the Freelander first as it seems it has a few electrical/mechanical gremlins.... Windows not working, lights in dash playing silly buggers and the suchlike...
