I got a letter through last month saying i had recieved a parking ticket and this was my second letter. (the first one i had recieved)

I got another letter today saying they are going to take me to court or arrest me blah blah blah if i dont pay up, now £90.00 .

My first complaint with this is that i never got a ticket...to my understanding, a ticket has to be handed to you by the warden or left clearly and visible on your front windscreen...nither of which happend...iam 99% sure i would have noitced...

Then i get a letter which stated this was my second warning and again iam positive i didnt get the first one...

Anyone have any suggestions how i should persue this!???

Do they take pictures of all the tickets they put up?

TBH i was parked in the worng place but just trying my hardest not to pay it...give them enough money as it is...

Don't you think all fine letters should be sent recorded delivery so there would be no more cases of people claiming they hadn't recieved a letter. Or is this too sensible? It's not like they couldn't get the cost back through the fine is it.

Dont the wardens take pictures of the cars before they put a ticket on it as well, basicly pay up now otherwise it will end up costing you a lot more in the long run. You have already admitted that you was in the wrong.

Yeah, i think you got a point...it wouldnt make any odds to them if it was recorded...it was one a busy enough street so there probably will be cameras...

I was hoping they might not be bothered persuing me if they had to start digging around for evidence...

What do you think?

Then again, some guy got a fine for blowing his nose in a traffic jam.....anything is possible

yeah your right and if it was still the origianal fee of £45.00 then i would bat an eye lid but when iam being charged double because i didnt get the first letter...that ****es me off.

The reason iam posting up to find out if anyone knows of a way out or any suggestions is because i dont believe they will care if i got the first letter or not...they are just gona presume iam speaking ****...in which case, iam more than likely to be charged £90...

Paying £90,00 isnt the problem, its the principle.

a dunno what fooks me off more, traffic wardens or numtpy t wats like you who think they can get away without paying for parking when most sensible peeps just accept it's all part of lifes irritating, but unavoidable expenses

so trying to save a couple of quid has now cost ya £90

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

yes they do take pics of the ticket on the car,you have admitted you are or were in the wrong so just pay the fine and be done with it.ffs.

Just write to them asking them to prove that you were the person that parked the vehicle illegally.

They do take photos of the ticket, but do they know it was him driving...

Would say if it is a council ticket pay up sharpish, before it gets any dearer, but if it's a private firm then **** em!

thats not the point of who was driving red,it is the vehicle that was parked and the person who it is registered to gets the ticket.if it is a company car the driver of that vehicle gets it unless that person can prove it was not him/her driving it and proven by the company.
