Ey up!

Hi all, I am Matt from Halifax, West Yorkshire.

For as long as I can remember I have wanted a Defender and last year I bought a 300tdi.

It’s been a steep learning curve for me but from reading posts on here and watching things on YouTube I am starting to understand how to go about fixing and maintaining it myself.

That being said I am having an issue with a part for the radiator. I am looking for the bottom casing for the 300tdi rad, not the part that the rad and the Intercooler mount on to, the actual bottom casing for the rad, with the pegs on. I can’t find a part number and really don’t want to have to buy a new rad.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You've lost me The 300tdi rad has got pegs on, it's not a separate bit....

I always thought that was an integral part of the rad and not available separately

Thanks Guys, I have been calling round local parts places and it is an integral part of the rad just seems odd that you can take it off by loosening a few bolts and that know one makes replacements.

Anyway, I think I have sorted it now, I have used a wire brush and a scraper and got most of the lose rust off, painted the little metal left with Hammerite Kurust and have given it two coats of primer tonight and am going to paint it black at the weekend then stick it back on and pretend I never saw it.

Then when it finally brakes I will buy a new rad.
