Hi everyone currently own a disco so please be patient, i might be looking at trading the old girl in for a freelander td4. Can anyone give me rough mpg figures for around town, motorway & combined driving. Any comments would be grateful.

if my calculations were ok, i managed to make almost 40mpg in malta where roads are short and traffic is part of the routine...td 4 manual

iv been keeping an eye on my fuel consumption and im getting around 350 miles to a tankfull im filling up when it gets near the empty but before the light comes on first time id done 370 miles and put 50 litres till the first click of the pump (trip to Scotland mainly dual carriageway) and last tankfull took 51 litres to 350 miles (local use around the town stop start no more than 5-10 miles) I recon an 30 mpg around town and maybe 36 ish on a run.whatever it is is better than the 2.8 pajero its replaced 180 miles to a tank on a run and it was a bigger tank

I've just got 500 miles from a full tank. That's mostly a 20 mile each way commute, half motorway, a quarter main roads and a quarter town driving.

Filled up tonight neck to neck fill worked out at 39mpg, do a 9 mile commute week days and sum swanning around at the week end all on a and b roads.

illy

PS got a TD4
