Cheap as chips, last time I looked down pipe was cheaper than the mid section, the cat absorbs quite a bit of noise, I got a better sound just from the de-cat. Must get round to chopping the mid silencer out :)

It should fit. Like on the website it says what age by looking at your vin number( located ontop of brake servo or printed onto chassis) and check against the age it says on the website.

whats your VIN??
Not sure on the differences between the tailpipes on the 90 tbh, I know they had 2 or 3 different types over the time depending on discs/drums/other changes...

Just been looking at that tailpipe on the Allmakes app on my phone, and wondering whether it would fit on my 1996 tdi 300 and replace the rear silencer. Anybody done it? Don't mind cutting and welding to tweak it if heeded but it seems a good way to loose the bulky back box.

Actually i don't think that one i posted will fit mine as after research it looks like that will fit a 96 onwards and not my 95 so kes it might fit yours.
The search goes on!

any problems with the MOT ? not for emissions but just them saying its to loud as I believe its down to the examiners discretion ?

MOT isn't due till next year so will find out. They can't fail it on anything, it's not really that loud because its still got the whole length of the exhuast. If was a before the rear wheel side exit it would a lot louder so they mite get funny.

My mot centre is quite "relaxed" when it's comes to land rovers anyway!  !!

When I bought mine it came straight off the turbo and down under and out the side no boxs,

This was ok till I got a caravan and started towing a lot and it made long journeys even longer when you carnt here anything,

I used a resonator box from a golf r32 miltek system that was removed from my partners car and welded it into mine,

Here's the befor and after

you got a bit o pipe spare, need a bit to get rid o my middle box, I keep noseying in the bins at places, but most cars seem to be 2", and obvs the landy is 2.5"

I have a but that's 245mm long that I cut out but that's it. Unless u want some scaffold tube.

Ps I got Tony banks at worthy to do Lyndsey's golf they charged £40, not worth ****ing round trying to jack that up n drop the exshaust for that price.

Just received the parts to make mine with a 3" exit in SS. Looks pretty nice. Only thing is the flexi pipe I got doesn't seem that... flexible. Yes it bends into shapes but its VERY stiff. That normal? never used it before. Just waiting for the 3" holesaw to arrive :p

No flexi pipe isn't then flexi haha, you can just about bend a curve into it. Only just bent enough for mine otherwise would have just welded a right angle in.

Update. I've re done it as I'm putting challenge rear corners on so it needed moving up high.
Here's a few pics of how I done it...
Ps the old hole will be gone when I put the challenge corners on..
And I found out flexi pipe rusts through after 10months odd so don't use it now..

It's welded in two parts and clamped in the middle where it passes through the chassis otherwise you wouldn't be able to remove it if it's welded all up

It's hard to see, I've used a clamp and mounted it to the tub as the new exhuast hanger..
