Just put the spare starter motor on, could get too two of the bolts easy third one was well out of reach. finally managed to get a torch to find it and guess what garage that put the last one on couldn't be arsed to put the third bolt in, to much hassle probably. So it was not water tight, now it is fecked due to water getting in. Stripped it down and completely rusted and caked in crap inside, can't remember what garage put the last one in, or I would go and have a word.Still its working again so might get over to essex off road tomorrow.

That was a similar problem when I changed Guy's. A bolt was missing and causing cack to get in..... rusted and all ****ted up.

Any of you guy interested in meeting up prior to going in to Essex off road tomorrow to save a fiver on admission? Myself a one other vehicle from Clacton coming up - Would need five vehicles to get discount. If not see you up there!:D

We had broken wings and Diffs, blocked fuel filters, a roll over and near death experience, non-use of headlights due to filling with water, and handfuls of fun :)

Also does anyone need anything Galving? Wanna put my bulkhead in but theres a minimum charge and my bulkhead dont weigh a lot....

Hello people.

I have a question!

should my winch be connected to the cranking battery or my second battery (which I have a split charge system - keeping it charged up)

the winch has been connected to my second battery, but when winching it goes flat pretty quick! (obviously the second battery gets charged up BUT after the main battery)

do think I should just connect the winch to main battery and use the second battery for emergencies ?

Second battery, that way you can always start your engine.
How good are your battery's.
When I was talking to Goodwinch, they said run 2 battery's together not on a split charge, but they have to be good one's.

But if you leave your engine running when winching there shouldn't be no problems! - and if your do get a flat battery I can just jump start off my spare!

But

If I've had a day of winching, that would put alot of stress on my main battery and the next day the truck probably won't start lol

I will use the second battery! It's about 750 Cca & 76amp/hours
