engine

hi there can anyone give me a clue ???
my freelander td4 its when im driveing keeps holding back then drives fine then holds back again ( juddering )as if its going to stop then goes again not all the time tho..would this be anything to do with the maf???? ive just had a service thought that may of help but sadly not could anyone give me some idea as what this could be thanks and the best thing to do >>>

Sounds a little like fuel starvation but you don't say what engine. Check filters, pumps etc.
