had a look around that area and can't see any numbers, in fact i cant see any numbers at all with both front wings off,

on a v8 below head on block in the middle were dipstick enters block flat area

ok found it, looks like it was the third one off the bench, number is 0003, does this sound right?

real or original no if out of series would begin with 10g .11g defender 19g to 24g etc lr numbers usually start with 3 digit prefix and one letter suffix

right the compressin ratio is 9.35:1, underneath that is a reversed "s" in a circle then 0003 then half inch away is 020

sounds like its lost original no and has been bored +20 lots of reconditioners do it
