engine/gearbox mounts

ayup peeps,would anyone happen to know how big a job it is to change the engine and gearbox mounts on my 300tdi?

and could it be done on my drive?

You could do it on your drive with the right equipment

Guessing you'd have to take the engine and gearbox out though which might take a while so I'd say 2 days job ?

Thats what the garage told me they might need at the most to swap an engine over

you dont need to take engine out undo jack up engine wiggle out ,same with gear box though dont undo both engine and transmission at same time, vehicle bottle jack will do with wooden blocks

Depends if your drive is flat, wide enough and is of a suitable surface for the jack and axel stands or ramps.

Dont forget also to chock the wheels as you'll be giving the vehicle some serious wiggling and pulling.
