looking into replacing my v8 its a thor 3.9 on an auto box, I tried recently but found the left engine mount would not split as some one had rounded off the nut I need too replacxe rear core plug, the bottom nut comes off easily so the engine will lift out, what is the easiest way toolift engine and box out in one, I have a engine lift and plenty of tools just need this sorting now don't want too break it for parts for a simple part cheers Rich

A bit of advice Rich is I its your first I'd get a mate to help. If possible someone who's as a bit of knowledge to help you see and steer it out. Get everything out of the way check and double check all pipes and cables are disconnected, make sure when you've got it lifted you can slide the car away from it and not the engine away from the car, it's a lot easier. Oh and take your time have patience.
Good luck

id take them out separately, you can then tackle mount nut with a chisel
+1 - unless you have fairly serious facilities, my advice would be the same as JM.

I have reasonable facilities, and wouldn't attempt to lift the whole lot out in one lump.
