Hi all,

Both my rear electric windows are broken, motor and switches still sound like they are working. On removing the regulators on both sides the cables have snapped, so I've purchased a refurb kit off amazon (tenner :D). These look exactly the same as the broken ones I removed, however problem is I can't seem to be able to wind the cables (you have to do both at the same time) onto the spool and get them tight enough for them to sit in the spring guide housing.....

Anyone ever done this before, is there an easy way to do it?

Thanks

I've done this a few times...

No helpful tips I'm afraid other than lots of patience !

The cables need to be wound tight and it is really frustrating when you think you have got it right and as you reach for the cover plate the whole thing springs apart

Very satisfying when you do manage it

Chris

Ok, cheers guys ! Looks like just patience it is then ! I've managed to do one side, just the other is proving to be a little sh1t !

just done mine but couldn;t be bothered with cables just replaced the whole thing 34 quid and no hassle.
are those the aftermarket ones you fitted tyrefitter ? and do they work well ?
I've got a nearside rear to do sometime.:(
