So, the motor which moves the driver's seat forward and back has now decided to no longer work. Not a major problem to begin with as invaribly I am the only driver so the seat rarely had to move. However the MOT is looming and i'm aware this this will result in a fail unless fixed.
I have a motor on order, i'm just curious as to how much of a job it is to replace. When removing the seat is it necessary to remove the whole thing or can the seat be detached from the base and runners and if so does this then give access to change the motor ?
Any help would be much appreciated. thank you.

From memory it's just 4 M8 bolts that hold the seat to the floor pan and I can have my seats out in about 5 minutes, there is a plug for the loom under the seat and that just needs unplugged and you're golden.

Is it the motor for sure?

should be an hour from start to finish.
