From searches, this subject seems to have been covered many times.

There seems to be four types, the Ashcroft or genuine Land Rover Cable kits, we are very costly.

An air operated solenoid kit. (I've a coiled Disco)

A nice DIY solution which utilises a 3/8" socket extension.

Or there was an American firm who used to sell a kit which uses a linear motor to switch the diff lock on and off.

Unfortunately they don't sell these any more. So I was wondering if anybody would know exactly what type of linear motor they used? (size, stroke, power, spring return, etc)

And has anybody fitted any other for of CDL to a Disco 2?

Thankyou very much Ladies and Gents.
