are they for real!!

i need a wing mirror but i'm too tight and skint to buy an new one of ebay for £17 posted. so i thought i would email all the guys breaking landys and i may get one for say £5 + £3 postage or something. save a couple of quid.

the first 2 responses were:

£20 each posted

and amazingly

£50 each + (P&P £8)

i am shocked and tbh a bit annoyed that these people think this is ok!

what's wrong with yours? You can just buy the glass sometimes, or tighten up the allen bolt at the bottom if its not attached properly :)

beyond repair!! you can see a bit of it still attached, and the big dent in the wing and bulkhead which deflected alot of the impact. whoops!! i was the only person on the day to get up that particular slope though so was worth it. :D

and what you should be aware of is the brand new one on eBay is probably britpart or something, whereas the breakers are probably supplying the genuine thing... just something to be aware of.. britpart is probably fine for something that doesn't need to take strain or be that durable though :)

i contacted a breakers about a new bonnet... they quoted £250 + postage... didn't realise bonnets for old 110s were so rare!

oh, if anyone has one to sell?! :)

are both sides the same?

:D I bought 2 from Paddocks.... got them out and looked at them. Both the same so I was on the phone....'You have sent me 2 drivers side mirrors!'...... young girl replies.... 'Just move the arm sir....one mirror fits either side'..... smart ass women!

Just get the standard size.... I bought the larger ones and from the front the Landy looks like Wayne Rooney.... plus they must knock 1mpg off.

What you mean one that doesn't threaten to **** it's self?

What miles and money? and is it 3.5 carb

There are loads of **** takers on ebay these days. Some of the prices they want are just ridiculous but they still manage to take some poor ****ers hook line and sinker. I've found that to actually sell stuff it's got to be pretty cheap for the most part but there are plenty of entrepeneurs on ebay who buy stuff from paddocks for not a lot then re-sell it for twice the price. Or want more for knackered second hand bits than you could get a new one for.
