I was doing a steady 65 the other day and when I eased off the throttle the vehicle felt like it wanted to swerve to the left. It felt like it was caused by something at the rear but could be mistaken. Wondered if anyone could point me in a direction of how to solve this issue?

Its parlty polybushed at the rear and got a 2inch lift so wondering if I need to replace the exiting original bushes of if its just common when the suspension is raised?

Cheers

Ben

No doubt someone will have better suggestions but personally I'd check the brake calipers for sticking piston's, wheel bearings, steering joints, A-frame ball joint, and that the tyre pressures are the same across the axles?

Symptoms indicate to me rear axle steering caused by worn trailing arm bushes or similar. Grab the trailing arms and give them a good yank! Would think near side is going to be loose. :)

Rear trailing arm bushes at the chassis cause this along with over sensitive steering at speed.

Park up and apply t he handbrake, then grab the rear wheel and rock forwards and backwards. You should see the trailing arm move if there is play.

I have just done mine and it has made a massive difference. 20 mins a side max and £16

check the bolts to chasis mount the holes in there can get slightly elongated if bolts have slackened

Add another 20 minutes for each siezed nut :)

Rear trailing arm bushes and the A-Frame ball joint will be the culprits, I just done the ball joint on mine and it stopped all these issues...

Cheers guys. Will get it sorted after i've put the back half of the car back together. Really should have poked harder before buying the little bugger haha.
