i was towing a caravan when all of a sudden i got EAS fault come up on the message centre. when i got home i noticed that the 2nd to last valve was clicking and the pump will only run for a few seconds then stop then will not run again untill i stop the engine and restart it again? any help[ please

Second to last valve looking from front of car is Rear Left. Have a look in that area. Pump won't run if tank is full. Get the faults read.

fault code a going to be read thursday could it be a blown airspring can that cause a fault to appear??

If the pump has to continually run until it either a) overheats b) Wears out and the EAS Brains doesn't see a rise in Tank Pressure in X time or c) the EAS considers the height sensor reading is so far removed from the others it throws a wobbler.

yes it was locked in standard mode and yes it has gone down to its bumpstops it towed the caravan over 60miles there and about a mile back before it a went wrong

Then would think you have blown the rear left air bag and the compressor has been knackerd up trying to keep it inflated. Nearest i can get without fault codes or actually looking at it.
