As my other thread today, once I (or hopefully you) have identified whats fitted, I might want to upgrade to bigger and better brakes rather then replacing all the bits needed

My thoughts are
3" shoes and drums, Would they fit in place of the existing 2" ?

11" on the back to replace the existing 10". Whats involved ? How difficult and how expensive ?

Discs - getting expensive I suspect. Whats available and what does it all cost ?

servo - Its got a small one, probably series 3, how to go about fitting a bigger one ? What works etc ?

what are the differences between short- and long- wheelbase brakes ?
What has to be dismantled to do it ?
What might I need to buy ?

I'm new here, I haven't a clue.

Kind of depends - if the brakes are in good nick they should work OK for the vehicle. With a standard SWB setup I could easily lock the brakes (the tyres weren't brilliant) and that was without a servo. If you want modern brake performance buy a modern car!

Worth remembering that fitting a pair of 11" TLS (Twin leading shoes ) WILL give you a sensible improvement in braking force in a forwards direction
BUT will mean you have crap brakes in reverse ....(The way that the shoes are laid out means no "Self servo" effect in reverse ....

No pleasant ...trust me
