There are a couple of ways to check.
You could look underneath and check, but by far the easiest way to check is to look at the VIN number.
The 8th character in the VIN is the engine identifier.
Letter A is 3.2L petrol.
Letter B is 2.2L diesel without a DPF.
Letter C is 2.2L diesel with a DPF.
