guys,
door lock popping up slowly so sprayed some lithium grease through external door lock and all great.
went to put key in door tonight to excercise it again but key won't go in!

looks like the little metal storm flap that flips into lock under key pressure has got dislodged, can't get it loose again!!

is this part of handle or door barrel? can I access handle for removal by removing door card or is it a glass out job?!
can you get spare storm flaps???!!!

Mine did that and wouldnt stay in place so I removed it, you need to take out the exterior door handle and to get access to the 2 bolts that hold it in place you need to remove the door card, also unclip the connecting rod between the door handle and latch then lift out the door handle and the lock barrel can be removed.
